Lanny S. Odin, M.D. graduated form medical school at St. Louis University in 1982.  Following an internship in internal medicine, Dr. Odin completed residency in ophthalmology at St. Louis University where he also served as Chief Resident.  He then went on to a retinal fellowship at Texas Tech University where he was also an instructor.  

Dr. Odin has authored multiple scientific publications and has been a featured speaker at many conferences.  Dr. Odin was in practice for 9 years in St. Louis before moving to Springfield, IL.  

Dr. Odin is a fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of Vitreous Society, American Medical Association and the Sangamon County Medical Society.  His practice is confined to medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous including: diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment.
